$20M Infrastructure Investment Set For Centereach, Farmingville, And Selden: Suffolk Pols

The funds will help protect water quality and spur economic development, officials say.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — Suffolk lawmakers will announce the details of a $20 million allocation from Suffolk's Water Quality Infrastructure Fund to advance sewer projects in the hamlets of Centereach, Selden, Farmingville, and Coram to protect clean water and encourage economic development on Tuesday.

The investment that officials are calling "historic" will also help move forward recommendations in locally-adopted, community-based, land-use plans, according to a news release.


The announcement will be made at a news conference at the Middle Country Library in Centereach at 11:30 a.m.

It will be attended by Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone, Legis. Nick Caracappa, who represents the area, Sarah Lansdale, commissioner of the Department of Economic Development and Planning, and Deputy County Executive Peter Scully.
