Breeze Airways' Inaugural Richmond, VA Flight Arrives At Long Island MacArthur Airport
The carrier is now serving eight destinations from Long Island MacArthur Airport, airport officials said.
RONKONKOMA, NY — Long Island MacArthur Airport welcomed its inaugural flight to Richmond, VA, on Thursday.
Officials from the airport, which is managed by the Town of Islip, announced the flight with a photo on Facebook.
"Excitement is in the air," the post read. "Today, we welcome our inaugural flight to Richmond, VA on Breeze Airways!"

The carrier is now serving eight destinations from LIMA, officials said.
"Thanks to all of you for helping Breeze and the airport grow," the post read, noting, there are fares "as low as $44."

"Let's take off together," it concluded.
The event also marked three of Breeze Airways’ latest nonstop destinations from the airport to Pittsburg PA, Portland, MA, and Raleigh Durham, NC.
Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter was expected to be joined by Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken; Mark Tenney, interim vice president of Team Services from Breeze Airways; elected officials; as well as business snd community leaders. and stakeholders, with a water curtain salute Thursday afternoon.
