MEDFORD

A Medford woman was found with a pistol while driving with her child in car in Deer Park last Thursday, police said.
Oniesha Garfield, 36, was pulled over in a traffic stop by an officer on Westin Avenue, according to police. She was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon and child endangerment, both misdemeanors, police said.

NORTH PATCHOGUE
- A 19-year-old man was drunk driving when he bolted from an officer in a traffic stop in North Patchogue early Thursday morning, police said.
An officer tried to stop the man on Camero Place at around 2:42 a.m., and he failed to yield, according police.
The man was charged with first-degree driving while intoxicated, third-degree unlawful fleeing of an officer, and obstruction of governmental administration, all misdemeanors, police said.
His arraignment information was not available.
- A 38-year-old woman threatened an officer with a weapon at Waverly Gas Station in North Patchogue last Thursday, police said.
The woman, who is from North Patchogue, was charged with second-degree menacing a police officer and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, according to police. The incident happened at around 8:20 a.m., police said.
No further details were available from police.
