Britney Beau Jason Trawick Makes Appearance in Music Video

There’s a familiar face in Britney Spears’ latest "Criminal" music video. Instead of filming nude scenes with a random fellow, she brought in boyfriend and Sachem alum Jason Trawick.

Trawick, who helped lead Sachem to a New York State championship in ice hockey in the early 1990s, was Spears’ agent at William Morris before they decided to cut professional ties and remain personal.

The video opens with Spears attending a party with an abusive partner when Trawick steps in and punches the man after he strikes her in the face. He wins her over with his badass persona and the two spend the next three minutes making love and committing crimes, hence the song’s name “Criminal.”

At his place he reveals to her he actually is a criminal and they start kissing quickly thereafter. Later, they rob a convenience store and the scene cuts back to his apartment where they’re involved in a torrid sex scene in the shower.

"When you're doing nudity, I don't think it was at the top of Britney's list to bring in some random guy while her boyfriend watches," director Chris Marrs Piliero told USA Today. “"She wanted to kind of have this fairy-tale, sweet, knight-in-shining-armor feel to it. We definitely wanted to make some passionate, steamy scenes, but we also wanted it to be intensely beautiful. We didn't want to go for raunchy. We wanted it to be sensual and steamy."

The video, shot like a mini-movie, ends with the two kissing as bullets swarm around them from the guns of London police officers – it takes places in Great Britain. The scene is reminiscent of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in Mr. and Mrs. Smith.

Asked what he thinks of Spears and Trawick possibly getting married one day, Marrs Piliero said, “Oh, I don't know. They definitely seem in love. They get along really well. They have complementing personalities. I think he's a really cool guy and she's awesome. She deserves a swell dude like that. She seems really happy.”

Trawick grew up in the Sachem community, the son of a former Seneca Middle School teacher and has been in Hollywood for years. It’s not uncommon for him to bring Spears around the area and was seen last year enjoying drinks at Irish Times in Holbrook.
