April 13, 2023

At Cherokee Elementary School, library media specialist Karen Deaner taught fourth and fifth graders how to sign on and use the program Tinkercad to design and create snowflakes.

Using the program, the students learned program features, including how to rotate, delete, build on top of each other, raise and lower their designs. They then designed one arm of a snowflake, turned it, duplicated it and finally rotated it 60 degrees to acquire a perfect snowflake. Each design was then printed on the 3D printer.
