Police ID Man Killed In LIE Motorcycle Crash

According to Suffolk Police, a Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office deputy was driving east on the LIE when he discovered a motorcycle crash between exits 62 and exit 63 in Holtsville at about 5:40 a.m. It was determined that Joseph Jacob was riding the vehicle, a 2003 Yamaha motorcycle, when the motorcycle crash into a guardrail.

Jacob, of Holbrook, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
