1 Hurt In Ronkonkoma House Fire: Police

They were taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for evaluation, Suffolk police say.

RONKONKOMA, NY — One person was hurt in a fire in Ronkonkoma on Friday evening, Suffolk police said.

The fire broke out at home on 9th Avenue at around 5:20 p.m. on Friday, and firefighters from Lake Ronkonkoma Fire Department were called to extinguish the flames, according to police.

The person, a resident of the home, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for evaluation, police said.

Arson detectives were called to investigate, according to police.

It was one of two fires from over the weekend in Brookhaven Town that Arson Squad detectives were investigating.
