Drunken Driver Crashed Car With Granddaughter Inside: Cops
The 52-year-old Long Island man faces a felony DWI charge.

FARMINGVILLE, NY – A 52-year-old man was arrested after a two-car crash in Farmingville Friday night, police said.
According to Suffolk Police, Steven Casiano was driving a 2018 Toyota Camry east on Horseblock Road when he crashed into a 2016 Nissan Altima that was also traveling east at approximately 9:40 p.m.
The driver of the Altima, a 24-year-old man, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital with minor injuries. Casiano and his passenger, his 8-year-old granddaughter, were not injured.

Casiano, of Holtsville, was arrested and charged with DWI, aggravated DWI with a child passenger 15 years old or younger (Leandra’s Law) and endangering the welfare of a child.
Casiano's granddaughter was released to her mother at the scene.

Casiano was held overnight at the Sixth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Saturday.
