"Last night we achieved an amazing victory together garnering 62 percent of the vote," he said. "As I said in my remarks last night, we won the right to govern but with that right comes the responsibility to govern honestly, effectively, and for all of the people and the communities within Brookhaven Town."
He went on to say he is proud of the team he serves with whom were all overwhelmingly re-elected.
"Each of them are truly caring and hardworking partners who know their districts and work collaboratively together," he said. "We will all work with Ed Romaine as he becomes the County Executive and look forward to serving with our newest Councilwoman Karen Dunne Kesnig, who will now serve in the position I have held since 2010."
"There is much work to do and things to say in the coming weeks and months, but this morning I simply want to say thank you for the trust you have placed in me to lead this town," he said. "Together we will succeed for all."
