Farmingville House Catches Fire, No Injuries Reported

A two-story Farmingville home endured a fire Tuesday afternoon.

No injuries occurred in the blaze on Woodycrest Drive, though the family did lose their dog in the incident, according to one Suffolk County Police officer.

A police officer helped remove some salvagable items from the home.

Neither a fire marshall, member of the Farmingville Fire Department or police officer could confirm the cause of the fire.

The homeowners were unavailable for comment.

The Holtsville Fire Department also responded to the fire.
