Flaming Arrows Practice Under Lights at SBU [Photos]

Get ready for Sunday's showdown with Floyd in county final.

Though Sachem is not unfamiliar with playing at Stony Brook University, many younger players used Tuesday night's practice at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium as a quick course to stadium life.

Under the lights, in light rainy conditions, the Flaming Arrows hosted a practice at the university to prepare for Sunday's Suffolk County Division I championship game against rival William Floyd.

"We have a lot of young kids and I really wanted them to get the feel of the place and not be looking around with bright eyes Sunday afternoon," Sachem coach Dave Falco said. "It gives some of our young kids a chance to see the place at the field level and calm some of their nerves they could have on Sunday."

For two hours players went through walk-throughs on offense and defense, working on pretty basic material in preparation for Floyd.

"It’s cool to be here to get the feeling of the place so we don’t have any surprises when we come on Sunday," said senior Dalton Crossan, who played at Stony Brook last season in the county final and has an offer on the table to potentially play college football with the Seawolves.
