Heron Professional Building Has Sculpture to Go with Name

A heron sculpture was welcomed to the new Heron Professional Building, formerly the TFCU building on North Ocean Avenue, in Farmingville earlier this month.

According to Michael Wentz, the president of the Farmingville Hills Chamber of Commerce, it's a concidence that the sculpture was put up while the hamlet is undergoing its own redevelopment plan.

“Our Vision for Tomorrow, it states that we want to institute a public arts program with murals, sculptures, and decorative streetscape or furniture in public spaces to enhance the community's image,” he said.

The sculpture is part of Jim Miller’s collection. He has them scattered about through the eight Miller Environmental offices in the Northeast. Miller and business partner Paul Elliott recently purchased the TFCU building for $4.6 million.
