Letter to the Editor: Children Clothing Drive

Leg. Lindsay asking area residents to help keep children warm this holiday season.

Dear Friends:

It is extremely upsetting that, for many Long Islanders, choosing between putting food on the table and buying clothes to keep warm has become an unfortunate reality. There is no greater gift than to fulfill childrens’ dreams and to give selflessly to others in times of need.

I am asking for your support with this winter’s Every Child’s Dream Clothing Drive. They will be collecting all gently used coats, warm clothing items, blankets and toys.

If you would like to donate, I have a drop-off box at my district office, 991 Main Street, Suite 103, Holbrook, 11741, (631) 854-9611. Please make sure to deliver all items to my office by December 8, as the box will be picked up that day.

Please consider forwarding this information to your friends and neighbors so that we can join together and help our children in need.
