LI Shop Sells Winning Lottery Ticket Worth More Than $17K

HOLBROOK, NY – The New York Lottery today announced multiple top-prize winning tickets were sold for Thursday’s TAKE 5 evening drawing, including at a location in Holbrook, officials said.

Akshar Card and Gift Inc., on Union Avenue, sold one prize-winning ticket worth $17,592.50.
Other tickets were sold in Mamaroneck and White Plains. The winning numbers were 7, 16, 23, 33, and 38 according to the lottery's website.

The drawing for TAKE 5 numbers, which are taken from a field of one through 39, is televised twice daily at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. A Lottery draw game prize of any amount can be claimed up to one year from the date of the drawing.

The New York Lottery continues to be North America's largest and most profitable lottery. About $3.7 billion has been contributed in the fiscal year 2022-2023 to help support education in the state.
