New Mobile Friendly Long Island MacArthur Airport Website To Enhance Customer Service
With the latest tech, Islip Town can "target helpful messages to our customers based on their location," Supervisor Angie Carpenter says.

RONKONKOMA, NY — Islip Town officials have launched a new mobile-friendly website for Long Island MacArthur Airport customers to access information about flights, officials said Tuesday.
The website, www.flymacarthur.com, will provide information and maps on the routes its air carriers serve, along with on-time and flight arrival and departure information, airport dining options, and news, according to officials.
It will provide user-friendly content promoting "increased levels of engagement" with customers in combination with the airport’s active communication on social media platforms – Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, and LinkedIn – to elevate awareness of MacArthur Airport.

The website showcases and promotes the airport to residents "and amplifies the many attributes of our area so we can attract more visitors to Long Island," Supervisor Angie Carpenter said.
“Using the latest technology, we are able to target helpful messages to our customers based on their location when they go to our new airport website,” she added.

Airport Commissioner Shelley LaRose-Arken said airport officials are continuing "to work hard to enhance the customer experience" at the airport.
“This new website is aesthetically pleasing and puts important airport resources right at customers’ fingertips," she said. "Since the site is optimized for mobile devices, customers can access it from home on their desktops and tablets, or on the fly from their mobile phones."
The website also demonstrates to the airport's airlines, including Breeze Airways, Frontier Airlines, and Southwest Airlines, "that we are here to actively market" the airport "in a creative way to help increase awareness and use of ISP flights year-round,” LaRose-Arken added.
Carpenter noted the airport is committed to pulling together Long Island's community for the benefit of businesses and residents.
"Our new website communicates the pride that our area feels, and also highlights a sense of place for visitors coming to Long Island on flights from our 13 destinations,” she said.
In 2024, the airport will be reaching out more to the community with its work on STEM and Aviation Education with the Cradle of Aviation Museum and a Fly Local marketing effort for local businesses, according to town officials.
Air service development and marketing will remain top priorities, including a joint effort with the town's Economic Development Corporation to reach customers living in the airport’s nonstop cities, encouraging visitors to bring their economic resources to Long Island through its hometown airport, officials said.
Long Island Association President and Chief Executive Officer Matt Cohen said the "community is working together more than ever, recognizing the importance of a vibrant economy for all on Long Island."
“Long Island MacArthur Airport significantly contributes to that as an economic generator in our community,” he added.
