North's Dellacave Commits to Dowling for Lax
Senior defender will join former Sachem teammates with Golden Lions.

Sachem North senior defender Zach Dellecave committed to play lacrosse at Dowling College last week.
He joins a long and growing list of future college players on the Sachem roster for this coming spring, which stands at 10 and could have more by year’s end.
Dating back to 2009, Sachem North has had 27 players commit to play college lacrosse, one of the highest totals in the northeast.

As for Dellacave, a three-year varsity player, he’ll join Sachem North alums Billy Richardson and James Kenny, as well as Sachem East alum Vito DeMola at Dowling. Current Sachem senior Danny Schaefer also committed to play at Dowling next year. Last season the Golden Lions finished 11-3 overall and 7-3 in East Coast Conference play.
“Zach had a great summer and we believe that all of his hard work has paid off,” said Sachem coach Jay Mauro. “We are looking for a great year from Zach down on the defensive end of the field.”
