New program allows local talent to stay close to home.

Sachem North's Melanie Kahn has committed to play lacrosse at St. Joseph's College.
This spring is the first year that the Division III program is in operation.
“Melanie is a perfect fit for St. Joseph’s," said Sachem coach Ed Manly. "Being a new program, Mel’s leadership ability and dedication to her teammates as well as her athleticism and great stick skills will help the team immediately. SJC is getting a great young person who we expect big things from this spring.”
