Officers Help Deliver Baby On Bathroom Floor
A Long Island woman gave birth to a son on her bathroom floor early this morning with help from three police officers.

FARMINGVILLE, NY – Three Suffolk County Police officers helped deliver a baby in Farmingville early Friday.
Officers Sean Fleming, Bryan Mastrangelo, and Eric Dorfman responded to a 911 call of a 31-year-old woman giving birth at a home on Overlook Drive at about 2:06 a.m. Officers assisted the woman, Suzanne Baumann, who gave birth to a boy on her bathroom floor around 2:20 a.m.
The umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby's neck three times. The officers cut and clamped the cord and cleared the baby’s airway.

The Selden Fire Department transported Baumann and her newborn son Ronan to Stony Brook University Hospital in good condition.
Officer Mastrangelo is a member of the department’s Medical Crisis Action Team (MedCAT).
