Police: Farmingville Woman Missing

A Farmingville woman who suffers from dementia and Alzheimer’s has gone missing, according to police.

Suffolk County Police issued a Silver Alert Saturday for Sara Respol, 74, who was last seen on foot leaving the Pan American Hotel, located at 79-00 Queens Blvd., Elmhurst, on the morning of July 7, police said.

Respol is described as a white female, with blue eyes, short blonde hair, 5-foot-1 and weighing approximately 115 pounds. She was last seen wearing a black jacket, black sandals, long black shorts and a striped tank top. She also wears reading glasses.

Detectives are asking anyone with information about her location to contact the Fugitive/Missing Persons Section at 631-852-6040.

The Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
