Sachem Alum Jill Nicolini Joins Good Day New York

Sachem alum and TV personality Jill Nicolini made the latest big move in her career recently, jumping from WPIX to WNYW.

She’ll be switching beats from traffic to entertainment and joined the Good Day New York crew this week on Fox.

“We made her a very competitive offer and asked her to stay,” Bill Carey, the news director at WPIX told FishbowlNY, a blog on Media Bistro. “She’s leaving because she sees a path and opportunity to do more with her career beyond local news. This is the next step that will help her with that.”

Nicolini, who grew up in Farmingville and went to Stony Brook, graduated from Sachem in 1996 and was voted best looking by her fellow senior classmates.

Prior to being a reporter, Nicolini was an actress and model, appearing in episodes of Sex and the City and Law & Order.

Posing under the name “Jill Nikki,” she became the first and only Sachem alum to appear in Playboy in their Fall 2001 College Girls Special Edition issue.
