$364M Sachem Central School Budget, Proposition Sail Through

Stephanie Volpe, Matt Baumann, and Robert Scavo were elected.

SACHEM, NY — The Sachem Central School District approved a $364 million spending plan 2, 341 to 1,037 votes on Tuesday.

The proposed budget-to-budget change is $13,862,246 or a 3.96 percent change.

Voters decided on Proposition Two, which proposes to use about $7 million in Capital Reserve money to reconstruct the baseball fields at Sachem East and Sachem North high schools, respectively.

The measure passed 2,134 to 1,227 votes.

Voters also cast their ballots to elect three board members for three-year terms.

Stephanie Volpe took the top amount of votes at 2,295, followed by Robert Scavo with 2,069 votes, and Matthew Baumann with 1,938. Christopher Buckley garnered 1,507 votes.
