Sachem East Alum Pete Lacagnina Leaves C.W. Post, Joins U.S. Marines
Forgoes scholarship for college lacrosse to serve his country.

Sachem East alum Peter Lacagnina Jr. gave up his scholarship to C.W. Post and joined the U.S. Marines after one year of college experience.
Lacagnina, who left for boot camp on June 20 according to his father Pete Sr., redshirted his freshman season of lacrosse at Post and was injured most of the year.
At Sachem East as a senior he scored 39 goals and assisted 10 times, also picking up over 100 ground balls. His senior year he scored three or more goals in seven consecutive games en route to All-Patch, All-County and All-Division honors.

His older brother Nick won two national titles playing for Post and other brother Chris played football at Worcester Polytech Institute.
He was originally majoring in computer science at Post.
