Sachem Patch Athletes of the Week

Here's a look at some exceptional athletes from Sachem East and North this week:

Sachem East

Christina Lurie, Girls Soccer: Lurie scored the game-winning goal in Sachem's 1-0 victory over West Islip Friday.

Will Silber, Boys Soccer: Silber made five saves in net to give Sachem a 2-0 shutout win over Commack last week. Sachem is not 12-0-1 and Silber has recorded five shutouts this season.

Sachem North

Malike Pierre, Football: The sophomore carried just two times in Sachem's 56-14 win over Brentwood, but scored touchdowns on both runs. The runs were for 59 and 77 yards for a total of 136.

Colin Eberhardt, Cross Country: Sachem was led by first place finisher Colin Eberhardt in a meet against Lindenhurst. He ran 16:51 on the 5k course, the second fastest time ever by a Sachem North harrier on that course.
