Sachem Students Qualify For National DECA Competition

Ten Sachem High School students from both East and North traveled to Rochester to compete in the DECA state competition. DECA prepares students to achieve college and career goals in several fields including marketing, finance, hospitality and management.

At the state competition, the Sachem team took home more than 15 top 10 medals. Additionally, four students qualified to attend nationals. Congratulations to Evan Gottesman, Aafia Malik, Siddharth Sheth and Avi Talsania. Out of those who qualified, Talsania will be attending the national competition in Orlando, Florida later this month.
