SCPD Looking for Lake Grove Wallet Thieves

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Fourth Squad Detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the persons who took a wallet from a purse at Whole Foods in Lake Grove.

According to police, on Oct. 16, 2011, unknown individual(s) removed a wallet from a purse at Whole Foods in Lake Grove.

Two suspects were subsequently photographed using the stolen credit cards at a liquor store, a Waldbaums and a Marshalls all in the Stony Brook area and a Gulf gas station in the Smithtown area.

More than $960 was charged to the cards. One of the suspects may have been operating a silver Ford SUV.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5000.00 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
