Slight Adjustment Expected on LIRR Ronkonkoma Line
Will last for month of August, then back to normal.

A track modernization project on the Long Island Rail Road's Main Line in Mineola over four consecutive weekends in August will result in some cancellations and service adjustments on multiple branches, including Ronkonkoma, according to a release from the LIRR.
The LIRR said it will be installing new running rail, resurfacing and making repairs at the Willis Avenue grade crossing. Since one of two Main Line tracks will be out of service during the project, the LIRR had revised weekend service on those branches to accommodate the track work.
On Sundays, the 12:16 a.m. train to Ronkonkoma has been adjusted 14 minutes later, and on Saturdays, customers on the 11:21 p.m. train from Ronkonkoma can expect an increase in travel time of up to five minutes, the LIRR said.

Overall, on Saturdays, the work will affect approximately 24,000 customers traveling east and west of Jamaica and on Sundays, the work will affect about 1,200 customers eastbound and 1,700 customers westbound, according to the LIRR.
Customers can pick up a copy of the Special Timetable Weekend Track Work dedicated to each affected branch at terminals or local stations; or consult the LIRR's website.
