Uncle Louie Bringing the Best of Hip Hop Together for Platinum Show

Will hit the Carolinas on Friday, December 2 and leave lasting impact.

Louis Gregory is at it again. He’s combined his love of hip hop and contacts in the music industry to create one of the biggest hip hop and R&B bashes in the modern era.

“The Platinum Legends of Hip Hop and R&B” concert will be held at the RBC Center in Raleigh, N.C. on Friday, December 2.

The event was developed by Gregory, a Sachem alum better known as Uncle Louie in the entertainment world.

This is being dubbed as one of the most comprehensive old school hip hop shows ever produced in the United States, according to Uncle Louie. It will consist of artists like Onyx, The Fat Boys, Special Ed, Doug E. Fresh, Aaron Hall, Eric B., and Kurtis Blow, among others.

“I want to be able to give these legends a platform to show fans of yesteryear and today’s generation what hip hop was built on,” Uncle Louie said. “I want to have a concert that a family can go to, that parents can bring their kids to and everybody can enjoy it. These are top notch acts in hip hop.”

Blow, who made hit singles like "The Breaks," which was the first certified gold rap song, said he feels blessed to be around the game this long to see its evolution come full circle in this concert.

“It’s a series of nostalgia like shows,” he said. “It’s going to be an old school down home, fun, family get together and an incredible night to remember."

Uncle Louie said they are still seeking sponsors. If you’re interested, you can contact him at championsdynasty@ulmg.org.
