Update: Sachem North Class of 2014 Legacy Project
Students, advisors plugging away at school monument.

According to class advisors Jon Weston and Alexis Shaw, the Class of 2014 has been working diligently this summer to construct the 9/11 Dedication Memorial at Sachem High School North, which will be unveiled on Sept. 9, 2011.
The groundwork has been laid, the concrete poured, and the rebar set for the construction of the towers, which will continue throughout the summer.
The towers are being built this week at North.

“This will be a great opportunity for the students to come down and help out, taking pictures and assisting the crew,” Weston said.
The following week, the stamp concrete patio will be poured, and the American flag tile will be applied for the towers.
