Woman, 74, Sexually Assaulted in Suffolk Apartment After Man Climbs In Window: Police

HOLBROOK, NY — A 74-year-old woman was sexually assaulted in her Holbrook apartment early Friday, police said.

According to Suffolk County police, sometime between 6:15 a.m. and 7:15 a.m., the woman was sitting on the couch when she was confronted by a man who had entered her apartment through a window.

He confronted her and physically and sexually assaulted her, then fled; the woman called 911, police said. She was transported to a hospital, police said.
