4 Charged Over Vape Sales To Kids In Oakdale, Patchogue And Sayville

One of them faces a charge of criminal sale of cannabis.

SUFFOLK COUNTY, NY — Suffolk County Police probing the sale of vape products to minor arrested four people Monday at businesses in Patchogue, Sayville, and Oakdale. One of those products was cannabis, police said.

In response to community complaints, Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an investigation into the sale of vape products to minors. Six businesses were checked for compliance with the law and violations were found at four, police said.

Three people were charged with Unlawfully Dealing with a Child:

  • Kiera Onur, 25, of West Babylon, an employee of 76 Gas at 292 Railroad Ave., Sayville.
  • Cuma Dogan, 37, of Bay Shore, an employee of Star Mart at 7 Oakdale-Bohemia Road, Oakdale
  • Muhammad Abdullah, 22, of Selden, an employee of J Mart at 580 Medford Ave., Patchogue

David Ebanks, 24, of Coram, an employee of Organically Connected at 18 Railroad Ave. in Patchogue, was charged with Criminal Sale of Cannabis 3rd Degree.

All four were issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to appear for arraignment at First
District Court in Central Islip on a later date.
