According to the fire department, crews used two attack hoselines from Engine 5 and an elevated large-caliber stream from Ladder 9’s bucket to bring the fire under control. Officials said the fire was fully extinguished in about 30 minutes, with "extensive overhaul operations to ensure complete extinguishment."
Officials said the West Sayville Fire Department provided stand-by coverage during the incident and remained on the scene for about 90 minutes.
