Annual Kite Festival Takes Flight Sept. 21 in West Sayville
Kite flyers can bring their own or buy a custom kit and build on site.
Long Island Maritime Museum’s fifth annual Kite Festival is planned for Saturday, September 21 at the West Sayville museum.
A festival highlight is the Kite Construction Zone where children assemble and customize their own kites and then take them out on the grounds for some high-flying fun.
The custom kite kits will be available for purchase for $6 or attendees are welcome to bring their own kites. Admission is $2.00 per person and is complimentary for children ages 5 and under.
The museum is located at 88 West Avenue in West Sayville and the festival hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
