Bayport Student 'Caught Being Good' With Gift Drive
Sylvan Avenue Elementary student Hailey Brand organized a collection drive for those serviced through the Lighthouse Mission in Bellport.

Embracing the spirit of giving, Sylvan Avenue Elementary School first-grader Hailey Brand worked to bring cheer to others by organizing a collection drive for the less fortunate this winter, according to a school news release.
Through the generosity of all donors, she was able to collect many toys and gifts for those serviced through the Lighthouse Mission in Bellport, the release states.
She wrapped and delivered the surprise just in time for the holiday season.

In recognition of her selfless act, Hailey was commended by Sylvan students and staff members and was presented with a “Caught Being Good” T-shirt, the release states.
