Center Moriches High Puts On The Little Mermaid
Junior Molly Hart Stars as Princess Ariel in Classic Tale
Center Moriches High School recently presented a production of The Little Mermaid over a three-night engagement. The performance featured two 7 p.m. shows on February 28 and March 1, as well as a 2 p.m. matinee on March 2.
The classic tale follows Ariel, a mermaid who, longing to experience life on the surface, trades her voice for a pair of legs. The Center Moriches High School show, under the direction of Nancy Harkin, starred junior Molly Hart as Princess Ariel and seventh-grader Jaxson Wylie as Prince Eric. Additional stars include Senior Lucy Roy as the evil sorceress Ursula, junior Sara Standard as Flounder, freshman Kristin Luna as Sebastian, junior Madison Bennett as Scuttle, and junior Jimmy Shelton as King Triton.
"We were all really excited to perform The Little Mermaid—a fun, family-friendly show," said Nancy Harkin. "The Center Moriches community is always so supportive of our efforts each year, and the cast and crew were proud to showcase all the hard work they’ve put into this year’s production."
