Community Ambulance Company Hosting 5K Run

The Community Ambulance Company in Sayville is hosting the 8th annual 5K race/walk on June 30 as part of racing summer series.

The race, which begins at 9 a.m. at the Islip Grange Park in Sayville, will go down Broadway Avenue, continue on backroads behind the park and finish back inside the park.

The event benefits the ambulance company, which serves the five towns of Sayville, West Sayville, Bayport, Oakdale and Bohemia.

"Please show your support for the volunteers of Community Ambulance by participating in this event. In 2018 the volunteers of Community Ambulance Company answered 5,025 emergency alarms in our district as well as supported the firefighters of the east end wild fires and surrounding towns for mutual aid requests," the company said.

The race entry fee is $30 and $35 if you register the day of the race.
