DePompeo Named Patriot League Player of the Week
Sayville High School graduate continues strong play in leading Navy's women's lacrosse team.
Sayville native Jasmine DePompeo, a junior attack with the Navy’s women’s lacrosse team, was named the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. This is the second League weekly accolade of DePompeo’s career.
In presenting her with the honor, League officials noted that DePompeo played a key role in Navy’s 8-7 victory over Bryant this past Saturday. She scored the winning goal with less than seven minutes to play in the game. For the game, she had two goals and an assist while also grabbing three ground balls.
The game-winning goal Saturday gave her 80 goals in her three-year career and she is currently on a 17 game point-scoring streak.

DePompeo, a 2012 Tewaaraton Award Watch List honoree and the Patriot League , leads the Patriot League with 23 points and 11 assists.
