Donald Hodgkinson Named Sayville Firefighter Of The Year
Read about Hodgkinson's comeback story.

Sayville Fire Cheif Walter Reutlinger recently awarded ex-Chief Donald "Hodge" Hodgkinson the Sayville Fire Department's "Firefighter of the Year" Award.
"In his own words, this was a comeback year for him, having battled against all odds to recover from a traumatic injury sustained while operating as a Captain with the FDNY," the department said on Facebook."Chief Hodge works tirelessly as our training Chief, constantly working to update and improve the training program that helps save lives and ensures the safety of our members. He holds training paramount and has developed classes, implemented procedures, and delivered training to the highest level of excellence. This award is a small token of appreciation for what Chief Hodge does every day, 24/7, 365 days a year, every year, for our department and the Sayville community."
