Father Saves Daughter From Falling Sign, Santa Shows Up

A father saved his daughter from a falling sign that fell on their pickup truck in a West Sayville parking lot yesterday morning, fire officials said.

The father, Brian Pullan of Patchogue, pulled his 3-year-old daughter, Layla, out of his car and jumped out of the way as a Dollar Tree sign crashed on his car in a lot south Sunrise Highway Service Road.

Fire officials said the sign was most likely blown over by the wind.

Being that it's the holiday season, Santa and 15 firefighters responded to the scene.
