Fire Rips Through Office Building In Oakdale

No one was injured after a fire ripped through a small office building in Oakdale on Friday, officials said.

The West Sayville Fire Department responded to the office building at the rear of the Wharf on Vanderbilt Boulevard in Oakdale.

According to the department, "On arrival, the building was fully involved in flames and the department responded by using the 'deck gun' to quickly get water on the fire to darken the flames."

The Bohemia, Sayville, East Islip and Bayport Fire Departments responded with the help of the Sayville Community Ambulance.
