Firefighters Extinguish Vehicle Blaze In Oakdale: Police

OAKDALE, NY — Suffolk County police and the West Sayville Fire Department were called to the scene of a vehicle fire in Oakdale early Saturday morning, police told Patch.

According to police, they received a report of a vehicle "fully engulfed in flames" on Eastbound Sunrise Service Road in Oakdale on Saturday around 5:55 a.m.

Upon arrival, crews found an unoccupied on fire. Police said they searched the area but didn't find its occupants.
