Students Join with High School Peers in Special Self-Esteem Walk Highlighting Importance of Self-Care
Sayville’s Lincoln Avenue Elementary School held its annual Self-Esteem Walk on October 3rd, transforming the school field into a vibrant hub of positivity and empowerment.
As part of this special event, students embarked on a half-mile walk while engaging with 12 interactive self-esteem stations led by high school peer leaders. The event featured a wide range of activities designed to build confidence and mental well-being, including movement mantras, partner yoga, self-love/care exercises, and mindfulness practices. Students also participated in positive pebbles to discuss self-talk, gratitude tag, compliment catch, bravery bounce, five-finger breathing, and love your-selfies.
The event provided an interactive and fun experience, reinforcing essential life skills in a supportive, community-focused environment.
