People's Arc Of Suffolk To Host Inaugural Service Expo

People's Arc of Suffolk provides services for intellectually and developmentally disabled Long Islanders.

BOHEMIA, NY — People’s Arc of Suffolk will host its first-ever expo, a free, family-friendly event celebrating the wide range of support services available to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

The inaugural expo is slated for Wednesday, July 30, from 3 to 7 p.m. at PAS' headquarters at 2900 Veterans Memorial Highway in Bohemia.

The event will feature interactive activities, service showcases, games, raffles, music, food, career opportunity information and fun for all ages, according to a statement.

"The People’s Arc Service Expo is a celebration of the work we do every day to empower people to live their best lives," said John McGuigan, PAS CEO. "It’s also a great way for families, professionals, and community members to explore the resources we offer and get to know the people behind the programs."

More than a dozen People’s Arc programs will be featured, providing attendees with opportunities to meet staff, ask questions and learn how services ranging from family support and residential living to employment readiness and day programs are creating brighter futures for people across Suffolk County.

The event will also feature live music and entertainment, free giveaways and raffles, food and refreshments, interactive exhibits and demonstrations featuring The Metropolitan Golf Association’s Adaptive Golf Program and more games and activities.
