Sayville Football Completes Perfect 12–0 Season With LI Championship Win
The Golden Flashes held off a late push from Wantagh to complete an undefeated championship run.

SAYVILLE, NY — Sayville capped its perfect season with a Long Island championship, defeating Wantagh 42–35 on Nov. 28 to capture the 2025 Class III crown— the program’s eighth Long Island championship in school history.
Senior running back Tristian Vitale powered the offense with 239 rushing yards and five touchdowns, a career-best performance that helped the Golden Flashes build an early lead and fend off a late Wantagh surge.
“It was a great game, and we are so proud of our Golden Flash athletes, the coaching staff, and the support from our entire Sayville community,” Superintendent Marc Ferris said.
