Sayville To Honor Career Of Longtime Community Ambulance Chief
The celebration will honor the career of former chief Jamie Atkinson.

The Sayville community will celebrate longtime member of the Community Ambulance Company Jamie Atkinson for his retirement from the NYC MTA Police Department in May.
The Ambulance Company announced that the celebration will take place on May 11 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Lily Flanagan's Pub in Babylon.
Atkinson started with the Community Ambulance as a member of the youth squad and rose to become one of the company's youngest chiefs.

"Today, he brings pride to our company by sitting on our Board of Directors and organizing countless community outreach programs such as a free ride home for kids on prom night, life jacket rental program, and a program for bicycle helmet safety," the company announced. "Thank you, Jamie, for your stupendous work, and motivating our members with your enthusiasm, and drive. We wish you best wishes on a very well-earned Retirement!"
Atkinson recently received the 2018 Inspiration Award from Suffolk County News.
