SAYVILLE, NY — Sayville Middle School students lit up the stage last week with a lively, colorful production of Grease, performing the musical over three nights on Nov. 20, 21 and 22.

The show followed the classic story of Sandy — the wholesome new girl at Rydell High — and Danny, the smooth-talking greaser she reconnects with after a summer romance. Avery Gilbert starred as Sandy, while Luke Maier took on the role of Danny.

The T-Birds were played by Paul Maimbourg (Kenickie), Colin Fee (Doody), Andrew Wittman (Roger) and Maddox Marino (Sonny). The Pink Ladies — Sandy’s spirited circle — were portrayed by Anna Clemenz (Rizzo), Nickie Alvarado (Marty), Annelise Kitz (Jan) and Olive Routh (Frenchy).
