Sayville Prepares For Annual Holiday Events

With temperatures dropping and the holiday season quickly approaching, the Greater Sayville Chamber of Commerce will soon host its annual Holiday Parade, Shop Small Winter Wonderland and Miracle on Main Street events.

The 12th annual parade will kick off on Nov. 24 at 10 a.m., followed by the community's Winter Wonderland shop small event, which will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Participants will have the chance shop to support small business, ice skate, go on a trolley ride, make sand art and more.

Then Miracle on Main Street will run from 5 to 9 p.m. and will feature live reindeer, Santa, a gingerbread bounce house, ice sculptures, a carousel, a lego display, Charles Dickens Characters, live music, dance performances and a gingerbread house competition.

Participants in the gingerbread house competition can register from 3 to 5 p.m. in front of Sweet Gourmet at 69 Main Street and judging will start a 6 p.m. with winners being announced at 7:30 p.m. All entrees will receive a participation award.A Christmas tree lighting will take place at 6:30 p.m. All events will take place on Main Street near Brown's Lot.
