“The discovery of these deadly drugs is a lifesaving act by getting them off our streets before they were able to be sold to potential victims," said Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon, Jr. "Thank you to the Deputy Sheriffs that work to keep the public safe by executing these dangerous search warrants day after day.”
An ERPO is a court order issued when a person may be dangerous to themselves or others. The Extreme Risk Protection Order Law became effective in New York State as of August 24, 2019, and prevents individuals who show signs of being a threat to themselves or others from purchasing or possessing any kind of firearm.
