Sayville's Jack Coan Named Notre Dame Starting Quarterback
Coan will lead the team this year as it competes for its first championship win in years.
NOTRE DAME, INDIANA — The University of Notre Dame has named Sayville's Jack Coan as the starting quarterback for the upcoming season.
Coan, a graduate student at the university, was among three quarterbacks who were competing for the starting position.
“All three quarterbacks distinguished themselves in the spring and preseason camp," said Head Coach Brian Kelly. "Clearly, each has the skills necessary to lead, but Jack Coan proved to be more consistent and therefore, going into our opener, gives us the best chance for success.”
