Sayville's Mackenzie Burns Wins LAX Defensive Player Of The Year
The Stony Brook lacrosse player was named the best defensive player in the America East Conference.
Stony Brook senior Mackenzie Burns has been named the America East Conference's lacrosse Defensive Player of the Year.
Burns, of Sayville, is the fifth Stony Brook player to win the honor in the award's six-year history.
Burns tallied 1.24 caused turnovers—ranked seventh overall in the league. She also scored four goals on seven shots and dished out an assist.
