West Sayville Fire Department Hosting Recruitment Drive

The West Sayville Fire Department is hosting a recruitment drive for perspective members to learn about being a firefighter.

The department's event, which is on April 27 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., will take place at both firehouses at 80 Main St. and 1201 Montauk Hwy in Oakdale.

"Interested in joining the fire department? Have any questions on what exactly we do? Just want to look at the firetrucks? This is your chance to talk to the firefighters and learn all about what the fire department has to offer. Food and beverages will be served free of charge. Bring a friend or two and come on down and see how you can help and what benefits the Fire Department has," the department said on Facebook.
